BEFORE USE MAKE SURE TO SUPPLY GLOVES AND SAFETY GLASSES.
1. When to use FixClima products?
When the gas level in the air conditioning system is low, the air blown out will not be as cold as when the system is charged. If the air conditioning is without gas, the system will stop blowing cool air. With FixClima products, you are able to refill the cooling system in your vehicles yourself. We also offer FixClima LeakStop (sealant) with which any leaks will be sealed.
2. How to check if the compressor is working?
It is very important to recognize a working compressor. The reading using the FixClima cable will not be reliable if we are not sure if the compressor is working.
There are three ways to check this:
a. When you turn on the air conditioning, you should hear a click and notice an increase in engine speed. A click indicates that the compressor is working properly.
b. If you can identify the compressor in the engine compartment, you can see the compressor rotating when the air conditioning is on and stopping when the system is turned off.
c. You can use the FixClima measuring device. After connecting the hose to the low pressure valve, the needle should fluctuate if the compressor is working properly.
3. Obtaining a reading on the FixClima gauge/hose
a. Make sure that the valve on the hose is turned all the way off.
b. There are two valves in the engine compartment: low pressure and high pressure. Connect the hose to the low pressure valve. The FixClima Air Conditioning Diagram can help you find the valves.
c. Lift the plastic ring, press evenly on the valve and release the ring until you hear a click.
d. The ideal outside temperature should be between 10 and 15 degrees C. Start the engine. Set the air conditioning system to the lowest possible cooling temperature, turn on the air circulation option and open all air intakes. After performing the above steps, the gauge indicates the system pressure. If the pressure reading on the gauge is 0 PSI, it means a leak in the air conditioning system, so it is advisable to use FixClima LeakStop sealing gas.
However, if the pressure level is 10-20 PSI, only FixClima Gas should be used.
The correct pressure gauge should be between 25 and 40 PSI.
4. Refill the air conditioning system with FixClima Gas or FixClima LeakStop sealing gas
(the operation should be performed with the engine and cooling system running)
Both steps are performed in the same way, observing the safety precautions.
a. Completely unscrew the hose thread. Screw the FixClima Gaz or FixClima LeakStop puzzle all the way and unscrew it ΒΌ turn.
b. Lift the plastic ring, press evenly on the valve and release the ring until you hear a click.
c. Turn the can upside down and screw the hose valve all the way in to pierce the can opening. Open the valve again so that the gas/sealant fills the air conditioning system.
While the system is charging, the meter needle will start to move, which means that gas is flowing into the air conditioning.
d. When the needle stops moving, disconnect the hose with the can from the air conditioning system.
e. At a safe distance from the body, unscrew the can from the hose so that the remaining gas in the can escapes.
AFTER EACH OPERATION, THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM SHOULD RUN FOR ANOTHER 15 MINUTES.
